The Great Christmas Rescue: God Has A Plan From the Beginning

Genesis 3.1-15

27 November 2022

Christmas is by far the most popular of Christian holidays. Easter talks about his death and resurrection and it asks us to make a decisions, but the announcement of Jesus’ birth asks virtually nothing of us. That is why it is called a gift! Yet this seemingly innocuous gift is loaded with implications. Beginning in Genesis 3, it assumes things about the world, about us, and about our need for rescue from the powers of darkness, but also from ourselves. That is why this series begins in Genesis 3, to lay the foundation for our understanding why Christmas is not just endearing, but rather it is about our rescue from sin and death.
