The idea of Jesus walking on water is mind-bending and alters our perception of reality. By the very nature of this miracle it begs the question who is this Jesus? And yet, it was done for only the twelve, and told to us by them. Meaning that it’s primary purpose was not to impress us, but teach us exactly what it told the disciples, that they should not fear because Jesus was with them.
