The term revolution gets used so frequently in marketing that it makes us yawn. When it is used politically it makes us worry. But when revolution is used biblically it is powerful. Revolution speaks of real change, the kind that cannot be domesticated, that is not convenient, and will turn lives upside down. This first message in the series points toward the radical idea that the sermon on the mount isn’t just platitudes, or worse yet, a new law to be kept, but assumes that the revolution of the kingdom turns the kingdoms of this world and our lives upside down.
