Life Groups are a vital part of Vinelife. A Life Group is a small group of people gathering together for one, simple purpose: to bring people together. We believe God created us to live in relationship with others and only then can we live the full life He intends for us. Sharing life through community is part of our design, but meaningful relationships aren’t always easy to find. That’s why Life Groups exist—to make these life-changing relationships relevant and accessible to you.

WHAT HAPPENS AT LIFE GROUP?

A Life Group looks like friends at lunch, teams playing basketball, or people studying a book or topic of interest. At its core, a Life Group is a small gathering of people, and it is less about what you do and more about who you do it with. By participating in Life Group, you can expect to connect with others through a common activity, engage in life giving conversation and request prayer.

HOW OFTEN DOES A LIFE GROUP MEET?

Our Life Groups meet for a typical school year— fall through May. During the year, most groups meet once a week. Life Groups are meant to bring meaning and community into the flow of your life, so even if you can’t attend every meeting, there is still great value in joining a group.

WHERE DO LIFE GROUPS MEET?

Life Groups happen throughout Hernando County and parts of Citrus County.

HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL LIFE GROUP STAY TOGETHER?

Most Life Groups meet for a school year, with breaks every semester. This way, new people can join each semester.  Also, the semester break  allows you to try multiple groups each year. As relationships form, some groups choose to stay together after the summer break, but new members are always welcome.

IS THERE CHILDCARE AVAILABLE?

Childcare varies from group to group. When you search our directory for a group, the group profile will indicate if childcare is available.

WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE THE FIRST GROUP I TRY?

The truth is, not everyone will find the best fit with the first group they try. This is why we encourage you to select a few groups that interest you, contact the leaders and try out a couple different groups before choosing the best one for you. The simple strategy to finding success in Life Groups is to not give up. We believe there is a group that is right for everyone—including you!

We offer training on how to lead a LifeGroup. It’s just two classes to get you started. Currently, we are in need of multiple groups in Spring Hill and Brooksville, and we could use one in Homosassa, too. You don’t have to be a Bible scholar to lead a LifeGroup, we will help you with curriculum. The primary goal is building relationships in the church. If you want an in-depth Bible course you can come to one of the courses offered through Kingdom U. If you are interested in leading a LifeGroup please call the church office.

Also, we need host homes for LifeGroups. Sometimes we get a leader whose home isn’t conducive to hosting, so if you don’t want to lead but you want to host, let us know that too. Please send an email to the office with your address and the nights your home would be available on a weekly basis. We will keep track of host homes and try to fill them with leaders.
