The Congregational Care ministry provides Chaplains as a form of pastoral care. Ordinary people trained by our church to supply pastoral care including visiting those in hospitals, nursing homes, or hospices and those suffering from long-term or terminal illnesses. Offering to those individuals and their families spiritual care in the form of Communion, prayer, biblical guidance in their situation and a representative from the church to communicate their prayer needs as well as protecting their personal information.

We have created and sustain a Christian community of volunteer pastoral caregivers called Chaplains in our church. We rely on traditional spiritual disciplines and encourage our pastoral care volunteers to supply those they are ministering to with a variety of Bible Based support items in the form of Prayer Cards, Devotionals, information guides, as well as using the ministry of presence, to strengthen them in this time of their lives.

We are now training lay counselors through Kingdom U to work with our Congregational Care team members to offer support in mental health as well as spiritual support to those we serve.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”
